Wow a Limestone "Waterfall"
Most of the stalactites have been broken off many since I last saw the caves
It still holds its fascination though
Its almost pink.
Is that a dragon to the left?
a house in the middle?
Spot the fairy folk.
Yes they are made of stone,it is limestone that has been carried down through the hills by the water.
Towers rising from the dripping rocks.
could sit by this river all day long and never be
troubled by ducks looking for something to eat.
What do you mean, it isn't a river?
snowing again! Like the snowmen.
Limestone? Na surely not?
Saw this picture in the Tea Rooms, had to snap it, so copyright on this one belongs to the tea rooms
Thought I'd mess about and use oil paint effect, quite good eh?
picture taken during floods in the 1960's, happened
again earlier this year (2014)
Again I gave it the oil painting effect, good isn't it?
Looks tasty eh? Just to make you jealous.... it was very tasty... so much so that we bought a pot of the jam before we leftt, it was Cherry and Port (yes that's right the drink).
