First and foremost the most important thing to remember is that there is many ways to solve problems and this will depend on your experience in life and your attitude. You and only you will eventually have to make a decision on what will be the best cause of action at the end of the day its your problem and only you have the solution, regardless of whose opinions you decided to consider.
Sometimes is easy to get caught up in our heads, when we are faced with a problem. The only thing and the only thing that you should be focusing on is the SOLUTION.
Sep by Step Strategy To Solve Problems:
- Firstly what i found help me is to accept the problem and take ownership, once you accept that there is a problem then you passed the first hurdle.
- Once you accepted that, next thing you would want to do is to get the problem out of your mind, write the problem down on a piece of paper, like you are explaining it to someone else, in a story format.
- Once you written it down next thing to do is just extract the facts from the problem, write it on a different piece of paper. This helps, because now you have detached your emotion from the problem.
- Finally now once the fact are there sit on your own and dig deep inside as my belief is to every problem there is absolutely a solution and that solution is only within you. So the best person to seek advice from is your self. So imagine now this is your best friends problem, what solution would you give that person?
If it does help you, of course speak other people close to you to seek their opinion, family, friends, co-workers that are close to you and will be able to understand the situation, but remember their life path is different from yours and this problem has risen in your life and its meant to be a learning curve for you.
I came across this video by The American Museum of History and its a great video to watch just to remind ourselves how insignificant we are compared to the entire universe that surrounds us.
And I will finish of with this quote from Carl Sagan, he puts it beautifully:
“The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity — in all this vastness — there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It’s been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.”
